Cuban-Spanish actor Ana De Armas is grateful for all the accolades she has gathered for her acting prowess, but the young actress who reprised the role of Marilyn Monroe, the legend of Hollywood, has other worries.
Earlier, the actress was quite disappointed by the movie "Blonde" getting an NC-17+ certificate from the censors. She is aware that her undressed scenes in the movie will do the rounds on the internet and go viral, and she feels disgusted by it all. This will be a Netflix movie launch on September 28, and a few theatres will also show the movie.
Ana De Armas says she did whatever bold scenes in the movie for Andrew and Marilyn Monroe. She was given a fourteen-minute standing ovation at Cannes.
Critics have been very open about her acting in the film and have said that Armas just nailed it to the tee as Marilyn Monroe. Her voice set her apart as a human being, as nobody could look like Monroe. She imitated the voice of Monroe perfectly. Variety Film Critic Owen Gleiberman has said that Ana de Armas becomes Marilyn Monroe in 'Blonde'.
Blonde, the movie, had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 8 and had a limited theatrical release in the United States on September 16, 2022. The movie will be available on Netflix on September 28.
