The 'Trump Dance' gained popularity during his 2024 presidential campaign, with several athletes occasionally mimicking the president’s signature move throughout last year. The celebration took place late in the first quarter after St. Brown caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from Jared Goff, extending the Lions’ lead to 14-3.

Trump also made history on Sunday, becoming the first sitting US president in nearly half a century to attend a regular-season NFL game. He watched as the Washington Commanders suffered a 44-22 loss to the visiting Detroit Lions. Only two sitting presidents have attended a regular-season game before - Richard Nixon in 1969 and Jimmy Carter in 1978, according to the NFL. Earlier this year, Trump made history as the first president to attend a Super Bowl while in office, watching the Philadelphia Eagles’ 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in February.
