Al Roker, American NBC's Today weather anchor and occasional co-host to 3rd Hour Today, has worked with NBC Show since 1996. He is one of the longest-tenured TV broadcast hosts. After being absent from NBC's morning show for some days, Al Roker decided to come up with an Instagram post about his whereabouts. On Friday, he revealed to fans that he was hospitalised. In an Instagram post, Al Roker said he was admitted to the hospital because of blood clots in his leg and lungs.

Rocker took his Instagram account to answer all the worrying questions of his fans. Answering fans, he posted on Instagram, "Last week, I was taken to the hospital and got admitted for the blood clot in my leg, and That clot sent a few clots to my lungs. I am on the way to recovery; after a few medical whack-a-mole. I am fortunate enough to get proper and utmost medical care at the right time. You all have been so thoughtful and continuously inquired about my whereabouts. Thank you all for the concern, the prayers and the good wishes you have sent across. I hope to meet you all very soon. Have a great weekend."
