'American Idol' is set to mark an important television achievement in 2027, and a lot of recognizable people will get to share the experience. ABC has revealed that Ryan Seacrest will come back to host the show for its 25th season, but Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan will also join the judges again. However, even though the same people are still going to be around, things are about to change.

The show that had been produced for over twenty years in Los Angeles has decided to pack up and move to a new state. The next season of 'American Idol' will be produced in the state of Georgia, which will mark a big departure from the show’s connection with Hollywood since 2002.

WHO ARE THE 'AMERICAN IDOL' SEASON 25 JUDGES?

The viewers will not have to get used to the new judges since the same trio will come back to judge on American Idol in 2027. ABC has announced that Underwood, Richie, and Bryan will be returning as judges. They will be accompanied by Seacrest, who will be hosting for yet another year. For both Richie and Bryan, Season 25 will see them as judges for the tenth time.

However, Underwood has been linked to the show much earlier than that. She became a winner of 'American Idol' in 2005, and later came back to the show as a judge in 2025 after Katy Perry's departure. It is yet unknown what the premiere date of the Season 25 will be, although it is scheduled for 2027.

WHERE WILL 'AMERICAN IDOL' SEASON 25 BE FILMED?

The production company Fremantle has now stated that 'American Idol' will be moving to Georgia after years of being in California. Production is reportedly expected to take place in the Atlanta region despite the fact that the specific studio has not been disclosed as yet.

This move marks an end of an era for 'Idol' where all its live episodes have been produced in Los Angeles till now. Season 24 had hinted at changes where Hollywood week had been shifted to Nashville and was titled 'Music City Takeover'.

So, while the judges and host are quite comfortably familiar, Season 25 of 'American Idol' will usher in a completely new era - one that is far away from its Hollywood base.
