American Idol is back. The 21st season of the ABC show is set to debut on Sunday, February 19 at its usual airing time of 8 pm ET.

The new season will commence with its initial rounds of auditions featuring the well-known trio of judges - Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. The competition to showcase talent will once again be hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

Similar to its previous seasons, the show will follow a similar format, commencing with the audition rounds where aspiring singers will take the stage to earn a chance to progress to the subsequent round. The chosen contestants will advance to Hollywood Week, followed by the Showcase Rounds, and ultimately the Top 24.
