American carmaker General Motors' assembly line shut due to homicide probe
General Motors has its headquarters in Detroit, Michigan, and is the largest automaker in the U.S.

The police turned away all the workers that came into work at the plant early in the morning. Some reports suggest that the police and authorities are investigating the homicide. However, there has been no confirmation by the local police that a homicide investigation was going on at the plant.
The Michigan Police said that there was an altercation between two individuals, and they would be announcing further details by Thursday morning.
General Motors makes vehicles for the Department of State and the U.S Department of Defense. It has announced that it would stop production and sales of internal combustion engine vehicles. It would include the plug-in-hybrids and hybrids by 2035.
General Motors wants to achieve carbon neutrality by the year 2040. The company offers flexible-fuel vehicles that can operate on ethanol fuel, gasoline, E85, or a blend.
