American actor Roger E. Mosley passes away at 83. Read details here

After being injured in a car crash last week, American actor Roger E. Mosley died on Sunday. He was 83. His daughter has confirmed the news.

Across the globe, actor Roger E. Mosley has been famous as Theodore 'TC' Calvin, the helicopter pilot from the 1980s TV series 'Magnum P.I.'

In a car accident last week, Mosley had got seriously injured. The car crash in Lynwood paralyzed his shoulders and left him in critical condition. He died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Sunday. Several family members were around at the time of his demise, Roger's daughter Ch-a Mosley informed on Facebook.

No further details about the accident have been shared.

While announcing Roger's death, his daughter said he would hate any tears in his name, and we can only celebrate the legacy he has left behind. She added that they could never mourn such a fantastic man. She expressed grief yet pushed herself to remain strong.
Ch-a Mosley mentioned that although her father was a viral star, he loved training and working with the youth.


Roger Mosley starred alongside Tom Selleck in the adventure-crime series 'Magnum P.I.' for more than 150 episodes. The show aired on CBS from 1980 to 1988 and had eight seasons.

In the latest remake of the hit show, Mosley appeared in a different character, John Booky, a Vietnam War veteran and a wise barber.
The actor starred as Coach Rickets in 'Hangin with Mr Cooper', a 1990s sitcom.




He also starred opposite Tom Selleck in the prison thriller 'Terminal Island' in 1973. He also shared the screen with JohnWayne in McQ, the police drama.
He also made appearances on "Love Boat," "Sanford and Son," "Kojak," "Starsky and Hutch," "The Rockford Files," and many other TV series.

Apart from 'Magnum P.I.,' Mosley was also known for something else in Los Angeles. He was a high school field and track coach, who nurtured raw talent and transformed many student athletes' lives over the decades. He coached in several other sports, including basketball and swimming.
