Amber Heard announced the arrival of her twins – daughter Agnes and son Ocean – on Mother’s Day 2025. Sharing the news on Instagram, Heard posted a photograph of the newborns with her first daughter Oonagh Paige, 4. She called it the moment of overwhelming joy and said the family she long envisioned was now “complete”.

The 39-year-old Aquaman star expressed pride in becoming a mother again on her own terms. She said she faced fertility issues but welcoming her twins was a humbling experience and added her kids are keeping her “hands and heart full”.

The Criminal Minds actor first welcomed Oonagh via surrogacy in April 2021 and has been vocal about choosing motherhood sans traditional norms. Heard had previously said she wanted to experience motherhood on her own terms.

They alluded to their past relationship and a previous legal battle over frozen embryos, reports said.

Heard and Musk dated on and off between 2016 and 2018. A Daily Mail report from 2022 cited court documents that revealed the two were embroiled in a dispute over embryos created during their relationship. While Elon Musk wanted the embryos destroyed after their split, Heard wanted to keep them for future use, the report stated.

Social media users speculate that the twins could be the result of those embryos. They suggested that while Heard carried out her plans for a family, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO might have secured legal rights to avoid involvement.

A Reddit user noted that Elon Musk won the right to not be involved with the children after courts allowed Heard to use the frozen embryos.
