Glenn's dating history includes a teenage relationship with fellow figure skater Nathan Chen, who would go on to become a two-time Olympic gold medalist. As she heads to the Dancing With the Stars ballroom a decade after their relationship first made headlines, fans are once again curious about whether Glenn is dating anyone.

Is Amber Glenn dating anyone in 2026?

As of 2026, Glenn is apparently single. She has not publicly announced a current relationship, and there are no confirmed reports identifying a current romantic partner. Her private approach to dating has not stopped speculation from following her, particularly as her profile has grown through her skating career and her new appearance on Dancing With the Stars.

Earlier this year, Glenn also pushed back on online speculation linking her to fellow skater Ilia Malinin.

After a video showed Malinin at a club with an unidentified blonde woman, some online users speculated that Glenn was the woman in the footage. Glenn responded in the comments, writing, “AYO PEOPLE THAT’S NOT ME, IM LITERALLY MID COMPETITION.”

Glenn and Chen dated in 2016, when they were both teenagers and rising figures in US figure skating. Glenn publicly acknowledged their relationship at the time, including in an X comment thanking Chen for making her Valentine's Day special.


Per Fox News, in an Instagram post, Glenn described Chen as her best friend, rock and ‘most amazing boyfriend I could ask for’ in a social media post. Their relationship is believed to have ended in 2017.

Since then, both skaters have built major careers of their own. Chen went on to become a two-time Olympic gold medalist, while Glenn established herself as one of the leading US women's figure skaters and later became an Olympic champion herself.

Glenn has been open about being bisexual and pansexual

Glenn has also spoken publicly about her sexuality. She has identified as bisexual and pansexual and discussed the difficulty she experienced before coming out publicly. In a 2019 interview with Dallas Voice, Glenn spoke about the fear of being judged or having her sexuality dismissed as a phase. “I don’t want to shove my sexuality in people’s faces, but I also don’t want to hide who I am.”

She later explained to TIME that coming out made her feel more comfortable with herself as an athlete and with how she presented herself through skating.

Glenn has also had to address dating speculation involving fellow Olympian Alysa Liu. A viral TikTok featuring the two skaters prompted some fans to speculate that they were romantically involved. Glenn dismissed the idea outright, explaining that Liu was like a little sister to her and that she had known Liu since Liu was 10 and Glenn was 16.
