Amazon recall: Children’s play yards recalled for safety risks – Here’s what parents need to know

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of children’s play yards sold on Amazon due to a "risk of serious injury or death from suffocation and entrapment hazards".

The recalled play yards were made in China by the retailer Anna Queen and "violate the mandatory standard for play yards". According to the CPSC, "Infants can become entrapped under the mattress or between the side of the play yard and the mattress, posing a risk of serious injury or deadly suffocation hazard."

The agency advised that "Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled play yards and contact Anna Queen for a full refund", as reported by Fox Bussiness. The play yards were sold on Amazon starting March 2025 and were priced at around $100. So far, there have been no incidents or injuries reported.

How to get a refund for recalled play yards

The recalled play yards have black fabric sides with mesh panels bordered in gray. The top rails are covered with white fabric with a multi-colored print featuring bear faces, paws, and the word ‘bear’. Each play yard includes a mattress with the same bear print, and "Model, P700" and "Production Date, 202503" are printed on the packaging and a removable tag included with the play yard.

Around 70 units of the affected play yards were sold. As stated by Fox Bussiness, the CPSC explained the refund process, "Consumers should disassemble the fabric cover from the play yard frame, cut up the cover and mattress pad and email a photo of the destroyed play yard" to the retailer to obtain a full refund.
