Ahead of the two-part finale next week, the reality show witnessed the final five teams facing each other in a tough competition to reach the final leg of the reality show.

This happened after Han and Holden Nguyen (siblings) received a surprise after getting saved from elimination. Due to this, "La Cucaracha" continued to put other sides in danger for the show's France leg.

Brett Hamby and Mark Romain (married Vegas performers) were eventually eliminated in the latest episode of The Amazing Race's Season 37. They were left behind in the series of challenges in France's Strasbourg, including both the head-to-head game and the cheese identification task.

The May 7 episode of the show started off with a neck-to-neck water jousting challenge as the five teams gave their best to finalise their selection to the finale. In the end, Han and Holden comfortably managed the first spot, thanks to Han's surfing skills, which helped the duo leave behind Carson McCalley and Jack Dodge.

As fans can guess easily, the last to finish the round were Brett and Mark. The duo faced a 10-minute penalty as a result.

The tricky cheese identifying task was the next challenge for the teams. Under this, they simply had to identify the different types of French cheeses present in front of them.

At last, Josiah and Alyssa Borden (married nurses) utilized their Express Pass after much consideration, but ended up waiting too long to have an advantage over others. Brett and Mark somehow managed to catch up with other teams who further progressed in the game. This round witnessed a tense situation as Jonathan slammed Ana for multiple missteps.

The Pit Stop at Table D’Orientation was the final challenge for the sides. Carson and Jack comfortably managed to end up on the first position in this task. They were followed by Josiah and Alyssa on the second. Jonathan and Ana came third in the final checkpoint, while Han and Holden secured the fourth spot.

Brett and Mark, who came last, were later eliminated from the competition.
