Eleven of her points came in the second half, helping the Mercury (23-14) pull clear of the New York Liberty in the race for fourth place. Phoenix thrived offensively, recording 28 assists on 33 field goals and shooting 9-for-15 from deep off the bench.
Sami Whitcomb (17 points, 5-for-7 from three) and DeWanna Bonner (14 points) powered the perimeter attack, while Kahleah Copper contributed 18. Sabally was steady throughout, leading all Phoenix scorers.
For Los Angeles (17-19), Dearica Hamby impressed with 25 points, eight rebounds, and five steals. Rickea Jackson added 21 points and overcame a right ankle scare in the third quarter to return. Kelsey Plum provided 20 points in support.
Jackson’s back-to-back threes brought Los Angeles within four in the third, only for Phoenix to respond with triples from Sabally and Kathryn Westbeld alongside a Copper three-point play to stretch the gap to 13.
Whitcomb’s two long-range shots early in the fourth pushed the lead to 76-60, effectively sealing the contest. Despite cutting the margin late, the Sparks never seriously threatened again.
