‘All of Us Are Dead’ Season 2: What we know till now

The status of "All of Us Are Dead" season 2 remains uncertain. While Netflix has revealed more about "Squid Game" Season 2, there's been little news about the former since its renewal in June 2022.

Fans eagerly await the second season of the popular Korean show, "All of Us Are Dead," but there's been a notable lack of updates on its progress. Unlike "Squid Game," another well-loved Korean series, which is set to release a reality competition series called "Squid Game: The Challenge" to keep fans engaged, "All of Us Are Dead" remains shrouded in silence since its renewal in June 2022.

The only insight we have is from a March 2023 interview with Park Ji-hu, one of the stars, where she mentioned that filming had not yet started. Months have passed with no further information, prompting questions about the fate of the show's second season.

Upon investigation, it's clear that the series is still in the works. There have been no reports of its cancellation by Netflix, but the production seems to be moving at an unusually slow pace.

This isn't the first time a Netflix Korean series has faced delays. "Squid Game," "Hellbound," and "Sweet Home" are examples of Korean shows that have yet to release new seasons, despite the demand.

"Sweet Home," for instance, premiered its first season in December 2020 and is finally set to release its second season almost three years later, in December 2023. "Squid Game" and "Hellbound," both from 2021, are still awaiting their second seasons as well. Given this pattern, the delay of "All of Us Are Dead" Season 2 isn't entirely surprising.

One likely reason for the prolonged wait is the busy schedules of the cast and crew. Park Ji-hu is involved in an upcoming Korean drama called "Spirit Fingers," while Yoon Chan-young is working on a drama series titled "I Became a High School Student As a Gangster." The show's creators, Chun Sung-il, Lee Jae-kyoo, and Kim Nam-su, have been occupied with their own projects, such as "King the Land" and "Daily Dose of Sunshine," both released in 2023.
