This was the company's 10th human spaceflight as well as the 30th flight for the New Shepard program, read an official statement.
Who were the crew members?
Tushar Shah, who is an MIT graduate, was a member of the six-person team.Earlier, Blue Origin described him as a private and low-key individual. At MIT, Shah studied high-energy experimental particle physics for his PhD, The Times of India reported.
Along with his wife Sara, Shah works towards several issues concerning health, poverty and education. At present, he serves as a hedge fund partner.
Besides him, the other astronaut crew included Dr Richard Scott, Lane Bess, Elaine Chia Hyde, Jesús Calleja and an undisclosed sixth member.
In its official release, Blue Origin said that this was Lane's second time, the fourth person to do so.
So far, the New Shepard program has sent 52 people into space, which includes the latest crew and repeat astronauts as well.
The mission
During the 11-minute journey of the mission, the astronauts got to soar past the Von Karman line, which is 100 km above the planet and is recognised as the boundary of space worldwide. As part of the brief journey, they witnessed multiple views of Earth and experienced weightlessness.Since the vehicle is fully autonomous, it does not require any pilots.
Sharing details about the New Shepard crewed NS-30 mission on social media platform X, Blue Origin said that its official launch time was 9:49:11 AM CST, while the landing took place at 9:59:19 AM CST on Tuesday.
"The mission elapsed time was 10 min 8 sec," it added.

Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp has congratulated the astronauts and the company's team for the successful NS-30 launch."10 crews – 52 people including four repeat customers – have now journeyed to space on New Shepard, each with an unforgettable experience," he added.
Phil Joyce, Senior Vice President of New Shepard, lauded the diversity among the crew members and said that the latest mission brought together people from different walks of life from all over the world at one place. Among these were scientists, doctors, entrepreneurs, and adventurers.
Joyce added that it was "inspiring" to hear about their "unique perspectives about the life-changing impact of seeing Earth from space."
Tushar Shah's brief journey to space comes at a time when India and the US plan to further collaborate in the sector.
