Alfredo Sauce spillage leads to partial closure of Tennessee Highway

Tuesday afternoon accident in Memphis near McLemor forced the closure of three Northbound lanes on Interstate 55 as a tractor-trailer wreck poured tons of Alfredo sauce on the road creating a huge mess.

A tractor-trailer reportedly ran into a retaining wall at around 5 p.m. local time in Memphis, Tennessee. The wreck from the accident caused spillage of the Alfredo Sauce carried by a trailer which led to a partial closure of a portion of Interstate 55.

The white sauce spillage could be seen smeared across all the three northbound lanes of the Interstate in a traffic camera footage recovered from the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

The Police and fire department reached the site to clear off the mess which could take hours before the road becomes operational again. The officials engaged in clearing the mess did not confirm what was spilled or how long will it take to clear it off. Although the reporters present at the scene informed that the truck was loaded with Alfredo Sauce jars.


No reports of injuries or casualties due to the crash have been reported so far.
