Alex Murdaugh trial update: All we know so far about South Carolina double murders trial

Alex Murdaugh, a member of South Carolina's eminent legal dynasties and a lawyer himself, has been accused of murdering his wife and son. Murdaugh could face up to life imprisonment and minimum of 30 years in jail if convicted in the court. He won't be granted parole.

According to murder charges, Murdaugh allegedly shot death his 22-year-old son Paul Murdaugh and 52-year-old wife Maggie Murdaugh. Both of them were shot death at Murdaugh family estate in Lowcountry on June 7, 2021.

The murder trial is going on at South Carolina's Colleton County Courthouse in Walterboro. The procedure of testimony has begun in the double murders trial.
