During the ill-fated incident on a film set cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed and film director Joel Souza was injured in the shooting. Baldwin had fired a prop gun in October 2021, according to the report.

Alec Baldwin was busy in rehearsing a scene while shooting for the movie 'Rust'. The shooting took place near Sante Fe, New Mexico.

Along with Alec Baldwin, film's armourer Hannah Gutierrez Reed will also be charged, as per the report.

Santa Fe's District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said in a statement that Alec Baldwin and armourer Hannah Gutierrez Reed will be charged with two counts of "involuntary manslaughter".

The prosecutor said that charges will be filed by the end of January.
