Alarming for Americans: Pakistan becomes one of the few handful of nations that can strike the United States; here's how it can attack the big apple

Pakistan is currently becoming a threat to the United States' security after it began developing nuclear-armed long-range ballistic missiles. Washington DC fears that these missiles can one day, end up on US soil if geopolitical tensions with the South Asian country deteriorate. Even though Pakistan sees India as their enemy number one, and is focused on building weapons and purchasing arms for this purpose, Washington is of the opinion that the latest weapons development program by Pakistan has a chance of backfiring on the US.

Meanwhile, U.S has sanctioned the National Development Complex (NDC), which is responsible for the development of Shaheen series of ballistic missiles that are able to carry nuclear warheads. Three other private organisations have also been sanctioned by the U.S. Pakistan cited neighboring India's growing military and nuclear capabilities for the missile development.

Pakistan's relationship with the United States deteriorated particularly after the withdrawal of U.S forces from Afghanistan in 2021. The South Asian country joins a select club, up till now only Russia, China, and North Korea have the capability to strike the United States with long-range ballistic missiles.
