Alan Cumming is returning OBE. Here's why

One of the world's top eateries and three Michelin stars awarded restaurant noma, announced that it would close at the end of 2024. The restaurant is aiming to reinvent itself as a food laboratory.

The Instagram post stated that the restaurant will transform into a giant lab in 2025.
It will be a pioneering test kitchen working towards food innovation and the development of new flavors.

The name noma is an abbreviation of the Danish words "nordisk" (Nordic) and "mad" (food), noma. It was opened in 2003 Copenhagen and shut down in 2016. It reopened two years later though.

The restaurant rules "The World's 50 Best Restaurants" list with being in the rank 1 for three consecutive years from 2010-2012 and also in 2021.

The critics love Chef Rene Redzepi and praise him for reinventing Nordic cuisine with a modern twist, such as edible pinecones, ragout of reindeer, and crispy marigold with whiskey egg yolk sauce.

During the pandemic, it was forced to close and had to transform into a burger and wine bar in the summer of 2020.
