Al-Quadin Muhammad shared an electrifying message after the Detroit Lions’ stunning 38-30 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. Stepping up in place of injured teammate Marcus Davenport, Muhammad’s standout defensive performance proved to be one of the key highlights of the victory. Muhammad logged a total of four total tackles and 2.5 sacks in the Lions' big win and head coach Dan Campbell indicated that he would have a bigger role in the coming days.

Muhammad, who was awarded a game ball by head coach Dan Campbell, delivered an inspiring message to his teammates after the win, according to detroitjockcity.com, citing X user Al Karsten (@FootballGuy_Al).

"You know what, I want to thank every player, every coach, everybody that’s in this organization. Because about a year ago I was home, I was on the couch. So when you get a f***ing opportunity, you make sure you take advantage of it. I want to also thank the guys in my room for helping me out this week. Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to do what I did."

MUHAMMAD'S FIGHTING COMEBACK

Muhammad’s path to Detroit was far from easy as the 30-year-old journeyman had played for three different teams before missing the final five games of the 2023 season due to a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drugs policy while on the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad.

He joined the Lions the following October and made an immediate impact, appearing in nine games with 11 tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks after earning promotion to the active roster. That production secured him a one-year deal to stay in Detroit, though his role remained uncertain until Marcus Davenport’s chest injury in last week’s win over the Chicago Bears created an opening.

Muhammad seized the opportunity, recording four tackles, a tackle for loss, and a sack in the victory. With Davenport moved to injured reserve on Monday, Muhammad’s role grew even larger - and he made the most of it.
