Release date

Afraid is expected to arrive on Netflix by the end of the year, thanks to a first window deal with Sony Pictures. 120 days after their initial release, the majority of the distributor's films are available on Netflix. If so, on December 28, 2024, the Afraid will become available. Nevertheless, some films have arrived sooner than expected. There have been other significant horror films released by Sony Pictures on Netflix before this one. Thanksgiving and Insidious: The Red Door were just added to Netflix's library of streaming titles. The Invitation was available for streaming until June 2024.

It is also anticipated that the film will be released in late December or early 2025. Some Asian countries, such as India, receive first window releases besides the US.

As of the time of publishing, the film had only made slightly over $10 million from ticket sales, indicating that it hasn't been a major box office hit yet.
