AEW: Ex-WWE superstar Edge makes debut. Check his new ring name

Ex-WWE superstar Edge has made his debut at AEW. Adam "Edge" Copeland made his AEW appearance following the WrestleDream main event.

AEW owner Tony Khan initially expressed his desire to have Edge make an appearance on the inaugural Dynamite episode in 2019. However, Edge ultimately returned to WWE instead. Tony Khan eventually succeeded in bringing Edge on board, and the wrestler, known as the "Rated R Superstar" Adam Copeland, has become AEW's latest addition.

Adam 'Edge' Copeland made his AEW debut following the WrestleDream main event, accompanied by his Metalingus theme. He intervened to assist Darby Allin after Nick Wayne's heel turn. As the Rated R Superstar, Edge used a steel chair to drive off the heels, while Christian hinted at a con-chair-to on Sting.

The AEW WrestleDream 2023 event was primarily focused on male competitors and featured several high-profile matches. MJF defended the ROH Tag Team Championships against The Righteous, while Chris Jericho and the Golden Elite took on the Don Callis Family. Additionally, the event showcased a TNT championship match between Christian Cage and Darby Allin. AEW also presented a "dream match" between Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr., which generated significant excitement among fans.

In recent news, the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite attracted an audience of 855,000 viewers.

The AEW WrestleDream event took place in Seattle, Washington, as a tribute to the late Antonio Inoki, who passed away a year ago. Antonio Inoki's legendary influence on professional wrestling has inspired countless wrestlers over the decades, making this event a meaningful opportunity for those who idolized him to pay their respects on Sunday.

Although the event had a stacked card, it faced some challenges. A few weeks prior, Adam Cole sustained an ankle injury that forced him to withdraw from the show. However, one of the most anticipated dream matches between Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr. did take place, fulfilling the expectations of many wrestling enthusiasts.
