Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler faces charges of sexually assaulting minor in 70s: Report

A new lawsuit has been filed against the American singer Steven Tyler, who has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor in the 70s, as per a media report.

The lawsuit was filed by Julia Holcomb, who is said to have had a relationship with him when she was a teenager in the 70s, based on a report in Rolling Stone.

Holcomb stated that she was powerless to resist Tyler's power, financial ability and fame. However, the American singer has not yet reacted to the accusations made in the lawsuit filed against him. She claimed that she and Tyler were in a relationship from 1973-1976, as per Rolling Stone.



As quoted from her memoir, she has always been public about her relationship with Tyler. Further, she said that she met Tyler when Aerosmith played a concert in Portland, Oregon, in 1973. Holcomb alleged that the singer made her believe that this was a romantic love affair.

The lawsuit slams Tyler for performing various acts of criminal sexual conduct on her and afterwards sends her home in a taxi.

Aerosmith cancelled its multiple concerts during May this year as Tyler suffered a drug relapse and voluntarily went into rehab.
The band also dropped off two more shows this month because of an undisclosed illness Tyler suffered.

Julia Holcomb was 16 years old in 1973 when the singer Steven Tyler sexually assaulted her. Further, she also claimed that Tyler also forced her to have an abortion when she got pregnant.

He also provided alcohol and drugs to Holcomb and continued to travel for his shows without giving her proper medications and taking care of the minor.
