Adam Wylie, star of Gilmore Girls, arrested for stealing at Target

He was charged earlier this month with shoplifting more than $100 in merchandise at a Target store in California.

He was reportedly observed by Target's loss prevention crew filling his cart with various items, including multiple health and beauty products, according to TMZ.

Wylie, 39, went to the self-checkout section, but he only scanned a few things from his cart before he made an effort to take the merchandise out of the store, according to Burbank police, who spoke with the outlet.


Wylie tried to take off with goods valued at $108, according to the authorities. When the police showed up, they gave the actor a petty theft warning before releasing him.

Wylie achieved success on stage as well. He was seen in the Broadway version of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods in 2002.

After the shoplifting incident, his fans are attacking him on different social media platforms because they want to know why an actor would do something like this.
