Eva Longoria revealed that she moved her family from California to Spain and Mexico in response to rising issues such as homelessness and taxes, as well as political disillusionment brought on by Donald Trump's presidency.

Longoria shared that this is where she spent her entire adult life. However, things were shifting even before the pandemic. It had a different vibe. The COVID-19 pandemic then pushed it over the edge. Whether it's the taxes or the homelessness, she doesn't want to criticise California; it just feels like this phase of her life is over.
The 49-year-old Desperate Housewives star countered that Donald Trump's victory was another reason to leave, even though the homelessness and taxes occurred in California during the Democratic administration.

Regarding former President Donald Trump's triumph over Vice President Kamala Harris, she stated that the shocking part is not that he won. It's that the highest office could be held by a convicted criminal who spews hate.
She recalled how depressed she was after Trump's victory in 2016 and remarked, if he keeps his promises, it's going to be a scary place. Disillusioned with the US election process, Longoria volunteered to mobilise voters for Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, during the summer.
