Actor Kelli Giddish is leaving 'Law & Order: SVU' show
Actor Kelli Giddish is leaving Law & Order: SVU, and fans will miss seeing her as detective Amanda Rollins.

The show is about to begin its new season, 24 this fall. However, the precise time when Kelli Giddish will leave is unknown, and so is the producers' plan for the "new" Rollin.
"I wanted to clarify the online rumours I've seen," Kelli Giddish wrote in a message on Instagram. She confirmed that she is on her final season of Law & Order: SVU. "One of my biggest thrills and honours in life has been playing Rollins, and spending the last 12 years as a Law & Order family member was an incredible experience too. I express my thanks for spending so many of my adult years (I started in my late 20s) with Rollins in my life," Giddish wrote.
"My sincere thanks to everyone here for their tremendous work over the past 12 years, Universal Television, all my co-stars, the entire staff, and all the writers. I can't wait to use what I've learned from working on SVU in everything that comes after this, "she concluded.
I'll say that Kelli handled this situation with the utmost class. In my 24 years of writing for television, she is undoubtedly one of the best industry professionals I've met. The prospect of her leaving makes me immensely sad. "It will be a lucky day for me if I write again for Giddish," Graziano wrote.
It is unclear when Giddish’s last episode as Rollins will be aired. However, industry sources estimate that it will happen sometime midstream.
