Dick Van Dyke suffered a potential concussion along with bleeding from his nose and mouth due to the car crash. As per the report, the Hollywood veteran was found by the police behind the wheel of his Lexus LS 500 upon their arrival at the scene.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics. Van Dyke was not taken to the hospital but is believed to have been picked up by a friend who took then him home.
Police officers reportedly filed paperwork with the DMV urging the ‘Mary Poppins’ star to retake the driver's license test. Authorities reportedly said drugs or alcohol were not involved in the crash.
The ordeal comes nearly a decade after Van Dyke was involved in another car accident when he was rescued from a burning Jaguar in Los Angeles. The actor was dragged out of the car, but he didn't seem to realize it had caught fire on the highway.
At the time, he had told TMZ that the car had started making noise, and at first, he thought it was a flat tire. However, Van Dyke continued that later, the vehicle “started to smoke, then it burned to a crisp”. He managed to get out safely.
