In one of the interviews with the media, Blythe Danner revealed that she was diagnosed in 2018 with oral cancer. She shared her experience before she was diagnosed with cancer which killed her husband. Danner said that she felt woozy and had a lump on her neck. And similar symptoms were observed when her husband underwent the same pain in 1999.
Blythe Danner intended to protect her children, Gwyneth and Jake Paltrow, concealing her diagnosis. Gwyneth recalled that the diagnosis of adenoid cystic carcinoma was indeed eerie, as her father had to go through the same pain because of similar cancer. Bruce took his last breath in 2002, and it's 20 years now that the complications were adverse because of throat cancer and pneumonia.
Gwyneth said it is impossible to get out of this kind of loss. She added that her father, film director Bruce, was their family's heart, and they have experienced a paler version of life without him. A heart-wrenching statement said by Gwyneth is their family had to pay grief as a price for love.
