According to JFeed website, Officials have described him as armed and potentially dangerous, though no physical description or motive has been released.
Wolf Point is the largest town on Montana’s Fort Peck Indian Reservation, with a population of around 2,500. It serves as a central hub for the Assiniboine and Sioux tribes. The town has faced rising concerns over gun violence, including recent shootings. Tribal leaders have called for increased federal support to strengthen local law enforcement.
Residents and local businesses are urged to stay indoors, lock all doors and windows. Officials are urging everyone to call 911 immediately if they see anything suspicious or encounter the suspect.
Authorities caution that the situation is ongoing, and residents should remain in shelter until further notice.
This incident follows another shooting earlier in the day at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan. The attack, which occurred at approximately 10:25 am, resulted in at least four deaths and eight injuries. The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Iraq War veteran Thomas Jacob Sanford, rammed his vehicle into the church, opened fire with an assault rifle, and set the building on fire using gasoline. Sanford was killed in an exchange of gunfire with police officers shortly after the attack.
