Action role-playing game Elden Ring's players feel guilty. Here's why

Action video games have always been one of the favourites of gamers around the world. Elden Ring is one such game released in 2022 that has garnered much attention in the gaming industry. Gamers have showered much praise on Elden Ring.

However, as much as they love the game, players have also expressed that they feel guilty after killing some of the characters, Elden Ring. The series of confessions of guilt started after a Reddit user named AndydnA69 posted a question regarding the game on the social media platform. He asked who was the least evil boss character in the game. Several Reddit users answered AndydnA69's question and took the name of the character who was the least evil according to them.

Most users agreed that the character of the Regal Ancestor Spirit in Elden Ring did not deserve death. Besides the Regal Ancestor Spirit, Redditor was also mentioned as one of those characters in the game which w should not have killed.


The evil boss, Rennala, was also one of those whom Reddit users did not want to kill or felt guilty after killing her. In the Elden Ring, Rennala is a grieving mother whose death occurred in the library caused of her problems. A Reddit user wrote that Rennala did not try to fight, so they did not want to kill her.

The users said that Tibia Mariner was also a character whose death made them sad. Tibia Mariner, the undead field boss, is the source of Death Root in the game. Although D, who is the Hunter of the Dead, thinks that the undeadness of Mariner needs to be changed, a majority of the game players do not support this view.


Elden Ring is a popular action role-playing game. Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the game was developed by FromSoftware and hit the stores in February 2022. It has also won the accolade of The Game Award for Most Anticipated Game.
