ABC Presidential debate: Why Kamala Harris is not happy about muting the mike against Donald Trump

ABC News is of the opinion that the microphones of both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris should be turned off when either of them are not speaking, so that any off the record comment is not caught live on the mics, preventing a 'hot mic' scandal the...

The US Presidential Elections 2024 has its own fair share of twists and turns along the way and now there is a major controversy on the Democratic Party pushing ABC Networks, asking them not to switch off microphones, so that off-handed comments by Donald Trump are audible to the entire world.

Donald Trump has been reported to be speaking off-handed whenever he is not the one speaking, and even interrupting out of his turn in some debates, but all of this is steered clear of the way because of one factor, that is, microphone muting by the in-house team.

ABC not looking at budging

ABC News is of the opinion that the rules of the US Presidential Debate will stay the same like last time, and is not likely to budge from its decision. ABC also has reportedly sent in the necessary debate rules for everyone to see, and prepare the debate accordingly, be it the Republicans or the Democrats.

Democrats still trying to convince ABC News

The Democratic Party is still looking at convincing ABC News about letting a 'hot mic' situation occur during the polls, which would help in creating a major issue later on, after the debate ends. Trump's off-handed comments are infamously very controversial and since it would be Kamala Harris up on the dias, things would be much more interesting, as he would have the urge to call her 'Comrade Kamala', like all the previous instances he has done so, that has been reported in the media.

The Democrats are waiting for the right opportunity to nail him, and if ABC News agrees to their condition, things could get really tough for Donald Trump.
