Aaron Rodgers opens up on marriage with Brittani, shares 'biggest regret' about his relationship
With the end of his illustrious NFL journey in sight, Aaron Rodgers readies himself for a formidable challenge against the Steelers. Pittsburgh's troubles on the road, particularly in AFC North matchups on Thursdays, add to the tension. Their 150t...

Before the start of the 2026 season, Rodgers had revealed that this one is going to be his last. The quarterback also finally opened up and spoke in detail about his private life and shared details about his wife, Brittani. According to PEOPLE, Rodgers announced his relationship with Brittani in December 2024, saying that he was dating her. The next big update arrived in June 2025 when it was revealed that he had secretly married “a couple months” earlier.
The news outlet also reported that the confirmation of his marriage came after eagle-eyed fans apparently saw a wedding band on his finger at the Kentucky Derby a month prior in May.
What did Aaron Rodgers reveal about his wife, Brittani?
There is not much information available about Brittani, and even the four-time NFL MVP has not offered much detail about her and has chosen to keep their personal and married life private. She has also never been spotted publicly. However, Rodgers did give a glimpse of his private life while speaking to his teammate and longtime Steelers star Cameron Heyward before the 2026 season. He revealed that he met his wife in 2017 when she was gearing up to leave the United States for Europe.
“My biggest regret is not begging her to stay or proposing right there, because that sent me right there into a tailspin of what I can be accused of as a partner in a relationship,” Rodgers said on the Not Just Football with Cam Heyward podcast. “She moved back over to Europe, we kept in touch, and there were a couple of times I thought things were going to work out, and then she got engaged, and I was like, 'Well, that’s done,'" he further stated.
He also stated that during his relationship with Brittan, he was “emotionally unavailable” for the next seven or eight years—a period when he was in a long-term relationship with Danica Patrick and engaged to actress Shailene Woodley.
“I was emotionally unavailable, I think, for those seven or eight years because I met the person that had changed my life,” he said. “And after that, I just poured everything I had into football and I think I got a lot out of that for sure, but I knew I was supposed to be with this one person, but we were separated by an ocean for a lot of it.” During the podcast, Rodgers also revealed that his wife attended the University of Texas.
