A sneak peek of ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ by Olivia Wilde ups the steam quotient with Harry Styles and Florence Pugh’s intimate scenes

Don’t Worry Darling’ created a buzz at CinemaCon when Olivia Wilde shared a preview of its trailer with the attendees. Heavy on intimate scenes, the movie promised to be a gripping thriller.

Partial footage of Olivia Wilde’s ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ opens to the attendees of CinemaCon with the protagonists Florence Pugh and Harry Styles snuggling in bed. And this is not all. The limited footage showcased other intimate scenes between the duo – on the dining table and against a sink!

‘Don’t Worry Darling’ is a psychological thriller set in the 1950s. The storyline follows the couple – Styles and Pugh – living in a serene experimental community in the deserts of California. What starts as a happy marriage gradually becomes sour as Pugh suspects her husband and his company are hiding secrets. On the other hand, Styles is working on a Victory Project, which has the potential to change the world.


The story gets darker as the wife’s distrust grows and people start thinking she is losing her mind. However, the juxtaposition of the intimate scenes shows the burning fire in their relationship despite the tensions.

Talking about the movie, Olivia Wilde said that the idea behind ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ has come from leading movies like ‘The Matrix’, ‘Inception’ and ‘The Truman Show’ that have pushed the boundaries of imagination.

Talking about the movie, Wilde asked audiences to imagine a life where they had everything they wanted, both materialistic things and non-materialistic ones like true love and companionship. Then she asked whether they would be willing to sacrifice everything to do the right thing. That, she said, was the central idea of the movie.

Wilde heaped praises on Styles, talking about the actors, calling him to be an up-and-coming actor who was a revelation in the movie. Pugh was praised for being fierce, brilliant and tough. Wilde also said that the film would live or die in Pugh’s role.

Besides Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ boasts an ensemble cast that includes Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine, KiKi Layne, Gemma Chan and Nick Kroll. It is a follow-up to ‘Booksmart’, a coming-of-age comedy released in 2019.

‘Don’t Worry Darling’ would hit the screens on 23rd September 2022. As for the trailer, you have to wait for it to drop!
