'A Body That Works': Netflix acquires rights for Europe, Latin America, US. Know about its cast, director and writer

Starring Rotem Sela and Yehuda Levi, Israeli super-hit drama 'A Body That Works' depicts the life of a childless couple who seeks the help of a surrogate, played by Gal Malka. It launched a national debate about fertility, family, and the autonomy of women’s bodies in Israel. Netflix has acquired the exclusive right of this award-winning relationship drama for Europe, Latin America, and the US, as well as non-exclusive rights for Israel.

'A Body That Works'

According to 'Deadline', Keshet International has also signed a deal with AMC Networks International for Portugal and Spain on SundanceTV and AMC, respectively. It has also agreed to give a license for 'A Body That Works' to CBC in Canada, and to SBS in Australia.

He also said that audiences around the world would get to enjoy this couple’s captivating journey to parenthood that had all of Israel buzzing with every new episode.

Israeli relationship drama has been co-created by Shira Hadad and Dror Mishani. Shay Capon is the director and Shira Hadad is the writer of this drama.

All of its eight episodes were immensely popular received rave reviews and cemented its position as Israel’s number 1 drama of 2023 with a consolidated rating of 22.5% TVR. 'A Body That Works' was also selected in competition at Series Mania 2023. Rotem Sela and Gal Malka won Best Actress for their portrayals of childless Ellie and surrogate Chen.
