In the 2012 Xfinity Series campaign, he competed for Joe Gibbs Racing at that time. Later, he switched to Kyle Busch Motorsports for the 2013 and 2014 truck campaigns.

Wallace soon fulfilled his ambition when he was allowed to compete for Joe Gibbs Racing in a few Xfinity Series events that season.
