Plot

The storyline of the fifth season will focus on a train derailment that puts many lives at risk. The first responders, known as the 126, will face additional challenges when a deadly poison cloud threatens the community in Austin, Texas.

Rob Lowe plays the role of Owen Strand, a fire captain. He moves to Austin with his son, played by Ronin Rubinstein, to start a new fire station after a destructive fire. The cast also includes Gina Torres, Rafael Silva, Brian Michael Smith, Natacha Karam and Jim Parrack.
