Secretary of the Mid-Michigan Pleasure Flight Board Kathy Barnes stated that it was an honor to witness the healing that may come from their emotions since tears can be extremely purifying. She went on to say that they've had vets come to her and say they didn't believe the hole in his heart would ever heal.



Davis' trip to the Honor Flight was fraught with difficulties. He was supposed to go a few years ago, but his trip was canceled due to the pandemic. It took a lot of effort to bring him back on this quest.

Barnes stated that it was worth every second and that he intends to enjoy it again tomorrow. This trip was worth the wait for Davis, who said it has been on his bucket list for a lot of years.
