The US state of California is currently facing a difficult time as it deals with the aftermath of its third mass shooting in eight days. The latest attack took place in the coastal city of Half Moon Bay, where a man shot and killed seven of his former co-workers, all of whom were Chinese-American farm workers. The suspect in Half Moon Bay shooting, 67-year-old Zhao Chunli, was arrested after driving to a police station.

This tragic event comes as the state is still mourning the death of 11 people who were killed during Lunar New Year celebrations in Monterey Park, which is located about six hours southeast of Half Moon Bay. Additionally, just over a week ago, six people, including a teenage mother and her baby, were killed at a property in Goshen, central California. These recent mass shootings have left the entire state in shock and mourning.

California Governor Gavin Newsom expressed his shock and sadness at the recent mass shooting that occurred in the state in a tweet, where he stated that he was meeting with victims of a previous mass shooting when he was pulled away to be briefed about the second attack. He described the situation as "tragedy upon tragedy".

The latest violence took place at two different farms in the Half Moon Bay community. Four victims were found at a mushroom farm, while the other three were later discovered at a nearby trucking business. An eighth victim is currently being treated in the hospital and is in critical condition. The community is in shock and mourning as they come to terms with the senseless violence that has taken place.
