Five people were killed and two children wounded when a suspected attacker opened fire in Philadephia city of the U.S.A.

The suspected attacker was carrying an AR-15 rifle, a handgun, a police scanner, and ammunition, but the motive behind the crime is still not known. He did not know any of the victims and fired indiscriminately in the southwestern area of Kingsessing area.
Confirming the shooting incident, Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said that when the policemen reached the crime scene, firing was still going on and they could hear the gunshots. The suspect continued with the firing and the space was littered with bullet castings. The policemen chased the suspected attacker on foot and encircled him. When cornered in the alleyway, the suspected attacker surrendered.
Only two days before this shooting incident, two people were killed and 28 injured in a shooting incident in Baltimore, Maryland. Multiple suspects opened fire on a community gathering. Four people were killed and eight others injured in a local 4th July festival in Fort Worth, Texas.
Reacting to these incidents, President Joe Biden has said that the epidemic of gun violence is tearing communities apart across the U.S.A and much more is needed to be done.
