4th of July celebrations come at a price: Firework accidents reported across country on Independence Day

US Independence Day, that falls on the fourth of July, was a federal holiday across the country, which meant people celebrated the occasion to the fullest, with various events, parades, live shows, concerts, music and so much more. However, like the tradition goes, the biggest takeaway was the grand fireworks show that happened across various cities, including multiple places in New York, which was mentioned in a previous ET report.

However, the celebrations came with a loss of lives too as multiple regions have reported deaths and injuries due to accidents around the 4th of July celebrations. According to a USA Today report, an Illinois man responsible for managing the fireworks on Chicago's Northwest Side, met with an accident and was reported as dead due to suffered trauma to the body. Officers who responded to the scene following the incident on Thursday pronounced him dead.

In another incident, a man got injured by a fireworks accident in Madison County, after suffering trauma to his upper torso. Even though he was rushed to the Huntsville Hospital immediately following the incident, he was declared dead soon after.

In another incident a city fireworks show in Alabama that was supposed to take place stood canceled due to a unprecedented shell explosion injured the pyro technician, who was then airlifted to a nearby hospital for necessary treatment. Thankfully, his condition has improved and has been released.

The 4th of July accidents didn't spare children too as a 10-year-old-child from Oklahoma City had to be rushed to the hospital to be treated for burns, after fireworks exploded near him. According to reports, two fireworks that was bought for him had malfunctioned, leading to his injury.
