Four people, two of them students, were shot Sunday near Georgia State University's Atlanta campus. As per authorities, three of the victims were in stable condition and one was in critical condition. Police said the shooting stemmed from a dispute between two groups. They did not reveal whether they had arrested anyone or identified any suspects.

The gunfire erupted near a RaceTrac gas station at around 5 in the morning. It's important to note that this location has unfortunately been a backdrop for violence before, with a Georgia State student tragically losing their life in a shooting there in December 2022 and another shooting incident occurring in April, as reported by WXIA-TV.

University representatives have confirmed that two of the victims were indeed students, adding a personal and deeply concerning dimension to the incident. In response, the university has pledged to increase patrols in the area and collaborate closely with law enforcement to bolster security in the vicinity of the campus, which is situated in the heart of downtown Atlanta.
