39-year-old man goes missing after falling into Devil’s Lake in Lenawee County, Michigan

The family’s call for help was responded to by The Addison Fire Department, The Michigan DNR, and the Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol. Despite arriving at the scene almost immediately, rescue crews could not locate the man. Up to 10 divers searched the lake in the afternoon, but were not fruitful in their search. The search was discontinued when it got too dark.
The search will resume at 8 am on Monday. The Michigan State Police Dive Team has also been called to assist with the ongoing investigation. The police have not yet disclosed the man’s identity and that of his family. As per reports, the man was not under the influence of alcohol.
Devil’s Lake is a recreational lake in Southeast Michigan near the Ohio Border that covers an area of almost 1,330 acres and is a popular destination for water-skiing and sailing.
