World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler claimed his fourth major championship title on Sunday, July 20, by winning The 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush. With a dominant final round performance, the American golfer finished at 17 under par to earn the prestigious Claret Jug and the title of Champion Golfer of the Year.

Scheffler’s victory also came with a top prize of $3.1 million from a record-tying $17 million purse, matching last year’s total. His win now puts him just one major away, the US Open, from completing a career grand slam.
