Though Max Verstappen failed to take pole position despite dominating the sport, he is excited for Sunday's Austin GP. He had a rare, unfortunate qualifying session at the 2023 F1 US GP and finished sixth. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari clinched the pole position. But, the Dutch Formula One driver said, "It makes the Sunday a bit more fun."


Max Verstappen Admits mistakes


In a post on X, he wrote, "I had a little mistake in turn 1, so I had to really push for it in the rest of the lap. And yeah, it's fine margins. Honestly, I didn't even understeer, I just tried to really maximize the corner, and I misjudged it by a little bit, you know, it's a very fine margin when you are pushing to the limit."

The Austin Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, October 22 at 3 p.m. at the Austin Circuit, US.

2022 Austin GP


Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the 2022 Austin GP, ahead of Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes and the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc. Though Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz got the pole position, but he had a poor start and was punted into a spin at the first corner by the Mercedes of George Russell.

The Three-time world champion said that if a team is winning almost everything, there will hardly be a situation where team members will have to leave or shift.
