He had a rare, unfortunate qualifying session at the 2023 F1 US GP and finished sixth. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari clinched the pole position. But, the Dutch Formula One driver said, "It makes the Sunday a bit more fun."

Max Verstappen Admits mistakes

In a post on X, he wrote, "I had a little mistake in turn 1, so I had to really push for it in the rest of the lap. And yeah, it's fine margins. Honestly, I didn't even understeer, I just tried to really maximize the corner, and I misjudged it by a little bit, you know, it's a very fine margin when you are pushing to the limit."
