20 train cars derail in Warren, causing a traffic jam

In a major incident, around 20 train cars came off the tracks on September 29 in Warren in the US. Fortunately, the derailment did not cause any injuries or environmental concerns.

A train derailment on the southwest side of Warren has caused significant traffic congestion in the area of Schoenherr and Stephens roads. As per the chief of Warren Police, Bill Dwyer, 20 cars of the train were derailed. Although the reason behind the derailment is yet to be discovered, the incident occurred in the morning hours of Thursday (local time). However, no injuries have been reported until now.

Both fire teams and police arrived at the incident area after the derailment. The teams, after they reached the spot, witnessed that around 20 cars of the train came off the tracks. Officials also confirmed that the incident did not result in the leakage of any hazardous materials. Meanwhile, the officials have stated that drivers may encounter a closure in the early hours of September 30. An official release in this regard said that drivers might avoid 10 Mile Road between Schoenherr and Groesbeck.

The police chief said that there were no injuries or "environmental concerns" due to the derailment of the 20 train cars. Dwyer also suggested the public should avoid the incident area so that the emergency responders could clear it soon. He added that they would keep the public updated about the incident.
