2 people detained in connection with January 6 Capitol breach are University Hospital workers

Two individuals, who were detained in November on criminal charges about the Capitol breach on January 6, are University Hospital workers. According to a hospital release, Saul Llamas, aged 29, of Perry, has been an officer of police in the University Hospital Department of Police since October 2018, and Jason Jordan Siemers, aged 25, from Perry, is a Nurse Aide teste by State, at UH Geneva Medical Center since October 2021.

University Hospitals discovered on November 30 that two workers, Jordan Siemers and Saul Llamas, had been detained by the FBI in connection with the January 6 U.S. Capitol intrusion. They have been suspended from their jobs and are awaiting an investigation.

According to court documents, Llamas and Siemers illegally joined Capitol grounds on January 6, 2021, along with Ryan Swoope, 28, also of Perry, who is charged in the District of Columbia in a criminal complaint with resisting, hindering authorities with a destructive weapon and interfering with law enforcement officers during a civil disorder, and assaulting both felonies, and related misdemeanour offences.




Nearly 900 people have been detained in almost all 50 states for offences linked to the breach of the United States Capitol in the 22 months since January 6, 2021, including over 275 people accused of assaulting or hindering police officers.
