In a series of exclusive photographs obtained by Page Six just two days before the tragic loss of her husband, Jeff Baena, actress Aubrey Plaza was seen enjoying a Knicks game in New York City with comedian Jerrod Carmichael. The images soon became viral and were widely circulated on social media. The couple had been married since 2020 and shared a decade-long relationship, marked by both personal and professional collaborations. Carmichael, who is openly gay, has been a long-time friend to Plaza, and their relationship appeared to be one of comfort and camaraderie.

On New Year's Day, Plaza, known for her role in "Parks and Recreation" and more recently "The White Lotus," was photographed in high spirits, sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden. This outing came just forty-eight hours before the devastating news that Jeff Baena, Plaza's husband of four years, had died by suicide. Baena, a respected indie film director and screenwriter, was known for his collaborations with Plaza on films like "Life After Beth" and "The Little Hours."

His death at the age of 47 was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office, marking a profound loss for the film community and an unimaginable tragedy for Plaza. His family expressed devastation over the loss and requested privacy during this difficult time.
