US to take part in Saudi oil meet: White House

The United States will participate in a meeting of oil producers and consumers in Saudi Arabia later this month, a White House spokesman said on Tuesday.

WASHINGTON: The United States will participate in a meeting of oil producers and consumers in Saudi Arabia later this month, a White House spokesman said on Tuesday.

"As one of the world's largest producers and consumers, we expect to participate," said Tony Fratto of the meeting, planned for June 22 in Jeddah.
