US-based chemical company forays into India

The company has already set up office in Mumbai and would focus on automobile lubricants in the country.

New Delhi: US-based chemical company Ashland Inc, which has planned its foray into India, appointed Mike Swartzlander as the Vice President and Managing Director for its India operations.
"This is a tremendous opportunity to accelerate our growth in a very exciting and growing economy," Swartzlander said in a statement here.
The company has already set up office in Mumbai and would focus on automobile lubricants in the country.
Ashland operates through four wholly owned divisions - Valvoline Ashland Performance Materilas, Ashland Distribution and Ashland Water Technologies and provides services in more than 100 countries, the statement said.
