PARIS: US Airways has confirmed an agreement signed at the Paris Air Show in June to buy 92 aircraft from Airbus, the European planemaker said on Friday.

The order includes 22 of Airbus's newest aircraft family, the A350 XWB, 10 A330-200s and 60 of the A320 series. The A330s will be delivered from 2009 to 2010.

The newly ordered A320s will be added to US Airways' existing Airbus single-aisle aircraft orders, extending delivery to 2012, Airbus said.

The A350s, which are due to come into service for the first time in 2013, will be delivered between 2014 and 2017, Airbus said. Airbus said in June that the order was worth more than $8.0 billion (5.6 billion euros).
